Quick Update

I managed to finish one corner of the quilt with the new fill.   Gave it a quick spritz to remove the marking lines as I was desperate to see what it was going to look like. The good news is that I like it a lot.  It adds a great deal of interest to the big blank areas where I was forever tempted to add more applique.  The bad news is that it's a lot of stitching and with the dark thread, every wiggle and wonky stitch is visible.  But I'm not going to worry about that since you can't really see the stitching unless you are a foot away.

It looks perfect to me! I have to say, it reminds me of the "quilting" on Bounty paper towels.

Love it! And when you wash it, the wiggly wonkiness will disappear in the soft rumpliness.

Just gorgeous - well done! I love the red geometric quilting design - sets off the flowers beautifully.

Fantastic work Marjorie, you are an inspiration too me to keep hand quilting and not give in to the machine which I hate!!!!!!!????? what kind of batting are you using and what weight is it. I have been using Australian wool batting for mind as it is so fine light but warm???? Cheers Glenda PS remember if you do get down to OZ this year I live in Kuranda 30 mins from Cairns in the far North if you come up this way???????
